(1) Michigan STEM awareness week
Robofest will be displaying two exhibits as part of Michigan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Awareness Week (http://www.stemmi.org). Everyone is invited to attend two STEM Week events.
Opening event: Sunday, March 25, Noon to 4PM at the Parade Company. Take a tour of the home of America's Thanskgiving Parade, see STEM exhibits (a Robofest Sr. Team), and watch parade artists at work. The event is free. See www.theparade.org
Closing event: Saturday March 31, 9:30AM to 5PM at the Henry Ford Rouge Factory Tour.
Take the tour of the final assembly of the Ford F-150, see the world's largest living roof, and see more STEM exhibits (Robofest Jr. and Sr. Team). A limited number of free tickets are available if you register in advance at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3108811539 . You may also purchase tickets to the event the day of the event at the Henry Ford Museum. Parking costs $5 if you are not a member of the Henry Ford Museum.
(2) Wanted: Volunteers

(3) Robofest Info Meeting on April 14, during Michigan Regional
If you would like to become involved in Robofest next year, please come to an informational meeting which is being held during our Michigan Regional Championship on Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 10:30-11:20 A.M. in the Don Ridler Field House on the Lawrence Tech University campus. There is no charge to attend.
(4) 13th annual World Robofest on May 19
The event is held at the Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West Mile 10 in Southfield, Michigan on Sat. May 19, 2012. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9am. Admission is free.
(5) Summer Camps
Robofest office offers Android mobile phone robotics, Arduino Robotics, L2Bot robotics, and NXT robotics. For more details, please go to Robofest home at www.robofest.net and click on summer camps link on the right upper corner.

(7) NDIA-MI Scholarship
The National Defense
Industrial Association - Michigan Chapter, a Robofest Gold sponsor, is again
providing scholarships for students pursuing B.S. or M.S. degrees in
STEM-related fields. Last year NDIA-MI awarded eight students
scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $2,500. The awards went to four high school
seniors entering college and four students already in college. Applications are
due by April 17th and can be submitted on-line with a link to STEM found at: www.ndia-mich.org.
