(1) Robofest 2013 team registration is about to close

Team registration is still open for some sites on the web at www.robofest.net (and click on 2013 link). Video qualifier deadline is April 12. A new site on April 20 in Warren, Michigan is open.

 

(2) Info Meeting on April 27 for new teams

If you would like to become involved in Robofest next year, please come to an informational meeting which is being held during our Michigan Regional Championship on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 10:30-11:20am in the Don Ridler Field House on the Lawrence Tech University campus.

(3) 14th annual World Robofest on May 18

The event is held at the Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West Mile 10 in Southfield, Michigan on Sat. May 18, 2012. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9am. Admission is free.

(4) Bottle Robot Sumo Competition on May 17

6:30pm ~ 9pm in the Buell Management Building Atrium at LTU. Updated rules can be found at http://www.robofest.net/bottleSumo.htm. Free workshop will be provided on April 20th to registered teams. 9am~Noon: NXTG. 1~4pm: LeJos Java. There will be no Robofest at IGVC event this June.

 

(5) Service to help raise funds for traveling

(6) 2013 Michigan Robotics Day

As a part of National Robotics Week (Apr 6~14th), MI Robotics Day event will be held on April 15 at the Jack Roth Stadium Club at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. The day will be filled with keynotes including a message from the Governor, demonstrations and excellent networking opportunities. (7) Inaugural GRAF (Global Robotic Arts Festival)

Nov 22~23 at Macomb Community College organized by LTU Robofest office. The event will include 8th annual RoboParade, Robot Dance Competition, and Exhibitions of Interactive Kinetic Arts and Sculptures.

 

(8) Wanted: Volunteers

Robofest competitions are in need of volunteers to staff their events. To sign up online, go to http://robofest.net/rms/appPages/volunteerPages/YearLocationLookup.jsp
