(1) Laptop Robot with Java Summer Camp for High School Students

Lawrence Tech University College of Science is proud to announce hands-on laptop robotics class for 9th 12th grade students, perhaps the first in the world for high school students, from Monday, June 28 Friday, July 2, 2004.

Students will first build their own laptop robots; then they will learn basic robotics concepts as well as computer vision technologies while learning object-oriented Java programming language. After the class, they will take the robot with a camera home. They will be able to participate in robot competitions such as Robofest Laptop Robot Competition in 2005 at Lawrence Tech.

Please go to http://www.ltu.edu/community_k12/ssi.asp for registration. Detailed course description can be found at http://www.robofest.net/2004/SSI04fly.pdf
