Cranbrook Schools (Bloomfield, MI)

$60 per person (includes lunch) 

CEU credits are available. 

 

Workshop participants will learn about a variety of robotics competitions including FIRST LEGO® League, FIRST Tech Challenge, FIRST Robotics Competition, Robofest, and VEX Robotics Competition; and the sets and competition fields they use. Competition costs, tips, and information on how to form a team will also be included.

(3) LEGO Sumobot Tournament in Texas

The 5th Annual LEGO Sumobot tournament will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Austin Recreation Center at 1301 Shoal Creek Blvd.

Registration & robot inspection will begin 12:00 noon.

Matches will run from 1:00-3:00

Final rounds will begin at 3:00

 

To register, send an email to Diana Heinig at moonlit-hunt [at] earthlink.net with Sumobot in the subject line. Please include the names of the participant you are entering by Saturday August 7th. Limit of one robot entry for each participant. You will need to fill out the registration form and bring it with you on the day of the tournament. There is no fee to enter. Spectators welcome!

 

(4) Additional RoboMath Workshops

The following additional RoboMath camps for rookie teams are being planned at LTU:

·         for 5th~12th grade students with NXTG: August 18 (updated), 10am ~ 3pm

·         for 8th~ 12th grade Students with C: August 20, 10am ~ 3pm

Bring $10 camp fee. Bring lunch bag or $3 for pizza and pop. We will provide assembled Robot and a laptop for each student. Only 8 seats are available for each date. To register, please send an email to Dr. Cartwright at [email protected] with the following information:

(5) RoboParade 2010 at Macomb Community College

5th Annual Thanksgiving RoboParade will be held at the Lorenzo Cultural Center on

Nov. 20 (Sat.) 12:30 pm

 

Organized by Robofest office, the annual indoor parade features fully autonomous robot floats, which follow a parade route and detect robots in front of them, constructed and programmed by student teams in fourth through 12th grades. (6) Workshop for Thanksgiving RoboParade Rookies

Hands-on workshop for Thanksgiving RoboParade rookies will be held at Macomb Community College on Oct. 16 (Sat.) 1 pm
