(1) International Robot Olympiad

Would you like to win a gold medal in a robot Olympiad?

The 6th International Robot Olympics will be held in Daejeon, South Korea, from Thurs. Nov. 4th - Sun. Nov. 7th, 2004

Game categories are Robot Line Tracing, Stair Climbing Robot, Legged Robot Obstacle Race, Vision Robot Rescue Operation, Robo Basketball, Robo Boxing, Robo Marathon, Robo BalancingBeam, Robo Dancing, and Robo WeightLifting. Also, there is a category for teams to demonstrate their creative robots that will simulate any space mission that involved robotics. For each member of a team, the organizing committee will award a scholarship, which is 50% of airfare,(up to $500), if the team gets a recommendation letter from an International Robot Olympic Committee (IROC) member. For more information about the robot Olympiad, please go to www.iroc.org.

As an IROC member myself, I was given the privilege to recommend up to three teams to get the travel scholarship. If you and your team are interested in this opportunity, please contact me at [email protected] by Sep 25, 2004. If more than three teams are interested in this Olympiad, I will select teams based on previous Robofest results.
