(1) Free Workshop for Thanksgiving RoboParade Teams

Hands-on workshop for registered RoboParade teams will be held at Macomb Community College on Oct. 16 (Sat.), 1 ~ 4pm.

 

There will be two concurrent sessions. One is for rookie teams. The other is for teams who took the Oct 9th workshop. There will be a test parade course. Any team is welcome to test robots in the place where the official parade will be held. To attend the workshop, please email [email protected]

 

There are a few slots left for the 5th Annual Thanksgiving RoboParade! It will be held at the Lorenzo Cultural Center on Nov. 20 (Sat.) from 12:30pm ~ 3:30pm. For more information, please visit www.robofest.net and click on RoboParade link to read rules and register teams.

(2) Robofest 2011 Kick-Off on Dec 4

12th season annual Robofest 2011 will be kicked-off on Sat., Dec 4, 2010, 2:30pm ~ 3pm (EST) at LTU in Southfield in Buell Mgt. Building, room M218. Rules will be announced, 2011 game will be unveiled, and team registration will begin. Anyone can participate in the meeting online using Wimba. The direct link will be on our website at www.robofest.net. To join the online meeting, we strongly recommend you test the connection before the meeting. We will also post recorded session on our website. Repeated identical meeting will be held on Tue., Dec 7, 2010, 5:30pm ~ 7pm at Lawrence Tech, M218. Online meeting will also be available.

 

(3) Robofest Event at U of Michigan, Dearborn

As a part of IEEE SEM Fall Conference, the following Robofest event will be held at U of M Dearborn on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010:

 

5:00 - 5:20pm - Introduction to Robofest challenges

5:20 - 5:40pm - Vision Centric Challenge 2010 and 2011 Demonstrations

5:40 - 7:30pm - 2v2 RoboSumo competitions (Believed-to-be the world first multi robot sumo competition)

(5) Robofest Seeking Site Hosts for 2011 Competition Season

Robofest is seeking site hosts for the 2011 Competition Season.  Qualifying Competition Sites are needed in Feb ~ March of 2011. Interested individuals, organizations, or schools should contact Robofest office at [email protected] �or check out www.robofest.net and click on *For Site Hosts* link. We are accepting applications until November. Early respondents that become Official Site Hosts will be appearing on the promotional poster.
