(1) Robofest 2011 Kick-Off on Dec 4 and Dec 7

12th annual Robofest 2011 season will be kicked-off on Sat., Dec 4, 2010, 2:30pm ~ 4pm (EST) at LTU in Southfield in Buell Mgt. Building, room M218. An identical presentation will be held on Dec 7, 2010, 5:30pm ~ 7:00pm in the same room.  Rules will be announced, 2011 game will be unveiled, and team registration will begin. Anyone can participate in the meetings online using Wimba. The direct link will be on our website at www.robofest.net. To join the online meeting, we strongly recommend you test the connection before the meeting. We will also post the recorded sessions on our website.

 

(2) Thanksgiving RoboParade Teams 

The 5th Annual RoboParade will be held at the Lorenzo Cultural Center on Nov. 20 (Sat.) from 12:30pm ~ 3:30pm. The event is open to the public.  For more information, please visit www.robofest.net and click on RoboParade link.

 

(3) Introduction to Robofest at DACTM/MDSTA Fall Conference session

There will be two sessions to introduce Robofest during the MDSTA (Metro Detroit Science Teachers Association) Fall conference on Sat Nov 13, 2010 at Lamphere High School.  To register for the conference, please visit: www.mdsta.org.

 

(4) Robofest at IEEE SEM Conference Report

World’s first multi robot team sumo competition was held at U of M Dearborn during IEEE SEM Fall conference on Nov 4.

(5) Robofest Seeking Site Hosts for 2011 Competition Season

Robofest is seeking site hosts for the 2011 Competition Season.  Qualifying Competition Sites are needed in Feb ~ March of 2011. Interested individuals, organizations, or schools should contact Robofest office at [email protected] or check out www.robofest.net and click on *For Site Hosts* link. We are accepting applications through November. Early respondents that become Official Site Hosts will be appearing on the promotional poster.

 

(6) Robofest is Seeking Sponsors for 2011 Competition
