(2) Additional Robofest Contest Sites Confirmed for 2006

Robofest is working on confirming 2006 Contest Site Locations.  The following new sites have been confirmed as 2006 Contest Sites:

- Herlong Cathedral School, Detroit, Michigan, April 8

- Sky Valley Education Center, Monroe, Washington, April 29

We are still working to secure sites in several other states and countries.  We plan to have all sites confirmed for our December registration. Additional sites that were announced in the last newsletter 10-24-05 can be found at http://www.robofest.net/news_archives/102405.htm .

For more motivation of students, we are working hard to expand to other states and countries. If you or someone you know would be interested in hosting, please have them contact Lori Birman [email protected] for information.  Being a Robofest Contest Site provides great visibility for the hosting organization.  It is an opportunity to showcase your facility, staff, and students.  We hope you will consider being a part of the Robofest Team!

(3) Robofest 2006 Playing Field Sets Available for Purchase

For those who could come to the informational meeting mentioned (1) above, Robofest has whole sets of the 2006 Playing Field available for Purchase at $75.00 each, if ordered by December 10th.  Please note that these Playing Fields are for new teams only.  If you are a returning team, you can use your previous playing field parts, so you do not need to purchase one of these sets.

Robofest accepts cash or check only.  All checks should be made payable to LTU.  If you would like to order a 2006 Playing Field set to be picked up on Dec 14, Dec 16, or Dec 17 at LTU, please contact Lori Birman at [email protected].
